Meet the team of professional and dedicated tutors and teachers who makes DDEC mission to produced peak performers possible
He is the founder of Donason Deen Education Centre and Donason Deen Research Centre. He is an Engineer turned teacher with First Class Honours Degree in Bachelor of Engineering. He is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (UK) and the Institution of Engineers (Singapore). His passion for teaching and training prompted him to become a certified and registered hypnotherapist as well as a member of American Board of Hypnotherapy (California), National Guild of Hypnotists (New Hampshire) and Florida Society of Professional Hypnotherapists (Florida).
He is a member of the old Rafflesian Association.
He has authored the Self Hypnosis Audio series which includes the “Self-Hypnosis for Students” programme. Having founded the “Neuro-reprogramming seminars for breakthrough performance”, his depth of understanding of the students’ psychology and wealth of knowledge in the subject matter would certainly benefit students and other tutors enabling them to produce peak performance in their examinations. He is the author of “Achiever’s Series” of textbooks for Chemistry and Mathematics. Other titles that he had authored are "Is your child a genius?" and "26 ways to outsmart Singapore Exams!". He is also a math tutor as well as one of the science teachers at DDEC.
Mr Maideen, the founder and principal teacher at DDEC
Mr. Tan holds a First Class Honours Degree in Bachelor of Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He was a 11 distinctions holder in ‘O’ levels and scored 4 distinctions in his ‘A’ levels with distinctions in his special papers in Mathematics and Physics. He was an OCBC Scholar. He is a math tutor at DDEC currently.
He was in the Dean’s List for 3 consecutive years in NUS. He is very popular with his students with his own unique style of delivery of his lessons. He also acts as a model for the students who want to achieve greater heights. We are honoured to say that Mr. Tan was also an old student of DDEC during his ‘O’ levels.
Mr Tan, Mathematics Guru
Ms. Siti Yariyati, math tutor graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Merit) Degree. She also obtained her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Singapore Institute Management University (UNISIM) 2009. She was awarded the Deloitte & Touche Gold Award (Top Student Award). She has been teaching in private schools for the past 19 years and has a strong passion in instilling a love of Mathematics in her students. A former student of Raffles Girls and NJC, she is friendly and approachable and very committed to helping her charges aspire to be the best they can be. She is one of the finest teachers at DDEC
Our Mathematics teacher
Mr Joshua is one of our POA tutors at DDEC. He holds a Bachelors degree in accounting as well as a Diploma in Business Management. He has almost 10 years of experience teaching English (Primary and Secondary) as well as Principles of Accounts (Upper Secondary) and has taught students both at homes as well as Tuition Centres as a full-time tutor. He mentors and coaches students, giving them the tips and guidance to understanding their respective subjects and topics better. He engages every student by understanding the trends they follow and the topics they are interested in.
He seeks his success through the achievements of his students, many of whom have jumped grades to get an A. He is inspired by inspiring others to do better.
POA Teacher
Ms Geeta has 40 years of teaching experience as a full time senior school teacher and HOD for science, most of the time preparing pupils for PSLE. She is a math tutor as well as a science tutor at DDEC. She delivers her lessons using ICT. She holds Masters of Education (Mathematics), and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. She also holds a diploma in teaching and management as well as Professional Diploma in Education with Credit from NTU. She is incredibly loved by her students for her motivational ability, simplicity in teaching and orientation to fun-filled learning. DDEC is proud to have her as one of our valuable teachers.
Our Primary Level Science Teacher
Ms. Ashikin is a Bachelor of Arts graduate from the Oklahoma City University. She specializes in teaching English for the GCE ‘O’ Levels. With a focus in mass communications while completing her degree, students would not only learn the proper written usage of the English language but also the proper pronunciation of oral English from Ms. Ashikin. Having produced segments in the current affairs department of Channel News Asia as well as scripting for Primetime Morning, students can be assured of obtaining the best possible guidance in the English language.
